Priscila Norris, RYT, MSW, DSW, LCSW

Psychotherapist, Executive Director/Owner

Dr. Priscila Norris is a psychotherapist, scholar, speaker, and clinical supervisor. She is dedicated to helping people become their best selves and live thriving lives. She believes in taking a holistic approach - or treating the whole person- to enhance the quality of life and overall well-being and in being.

Her areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, chronic stress, and phase of life and Military lifestyle-related issues. Dr. Norris integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with mind-body approaches and mindfulness-based practices and interventions, such as guided meditations and Yoga.

 

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina and a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, in addition to being a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She received her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and her master's degree in Social Work and graduate certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling from East Carolina University. Dr. Norris is also trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Duke University and Yoga for Mental Health Professionals from Subtle Yoga®️. She has worked in a variety of settings, such as community mental health agencies and military installations, and with a variety of populations, such as veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities.

 

Dr. Norris is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and serves as a co-chair of the Onslow County Local Program Unit and on committees. She is a past Vice-President of the NASW North Carolina Board of Directors and has served on State and National committees with the association.
