Priscila Norris is a holistic mental health counselor dedicated to helping people become their best selves. Priscila's approach to psychotherapy is simple: "We foster within you the power to change the things in your life that are causing you to be distressed or feel emotionally imbalanced. I believe in taking a holistic approach - or treating the whole person- to enhance your quality of life and overall well-being and in being strength-based in interventions".

Her areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, sleep problems, chronic stress, and phase of life and Military lifestyle-related issues. Priscila integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with Mind-Body approaches and mindfulness-based practices and interventions, such as guided meditations and Yoga.


She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina and a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, in addition to being a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her formal education includes a master's degree in Psychology, a master's degree in Social Work, and a graduate certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling from East Carolina University. She is also trained on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Duke University and Yoga for Mental Health Professionals from Subtle Yoga®️. She has worked in a variety of settings, such as community mental health agencies and at military installations, and with a variety of populations, such as veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities. She is also an adjunct faculty member at East Carolina University.


Priscila is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and served as a member of the Board of Directors for 4 years, with the most recent position of First Vice-President, as well as on State and National committees with the association. She is currently the co-chair for the Onslow County Local Program Unit.
