Cindy Martinez, MSW, LCSWA

Psychotherapist

Cindy is a recent transplant to North Carolina from Southwestern Idaho. Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate whose goal is to help individuals from a strengths-based perspective to navigate life’s challenges. She believes people are the experts at knowing what they need to change or improve in their lives.  

Cindy earned her Master of Social (MSW) from Northwest Nazarene University in 2018 and holds a BA in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. Cindy has experience with diverse populations including interpersonal violence survivors, crisis intervention, children and adolescent mental health, and adults needing end-of-life care.

Cindy is a holistic psychotherapist. She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy and practices from a trauma-informed perspective. In addition to her training as a clinical social worker, she draws from her training as a massage therapist and reiki practitioner and from her expertise in somatic expressions of emotional imbalances. Her background and expertise allow her to select therapeutic modalities that best fit each unique individual’s goals and needs.

Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety, body/mind connection, empowerment, improving self-esteem, healthy boundaries, and unresolved grief and trauma.
