Courtney Jost, MSW, LCSWA, RYT

Psychotherapist & Yoga Teacher

Courtney is a native to New York who moved to North Carolina to attend college. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who strives to help clients recognize their inner strengths and empower themselves to achieve their goals. She utilizes mindfulness-based practices and interventions, such as guided meditations and Yoga, as well as a variety of evidence-based models, such as Mindfulness-Based CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to address various complex clinical needs.

 

Courtney attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she received a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Master’s in Social Work.  She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has a passion for integrating mind-body approaches to mental health care. Her experience includes working in community mental health, child welfare, alongside the school system, and in long-term care facilities. In these settings, Courtney has worked with diverse populations, such as children, adolescents, adults, parents, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Her passion lies in helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, parenting, relational conflicts, and life transitions. She views the client as the expert on their own life and therefore works together to create a plan that will be effective along the therapeutic journey.
